For this Mother’s Day we’ve searched far and wide to provide you with a collection of five simple tips for looking and feeling younger:

H2Oh so good. Drinking water may be the simplest and least expensive of the age-reducing tips. Experts say several glasses of water a day helps moisturize your skin from the inside out. It also helps maintain your skin’s elasticity and prevent dryness. Maybe there really is a fountain of youth – it’s called the faucet.

Don’t be a “sweetie.” Studies have shown that sugar can accelerate the aging process by causing sagging skin and wrinkles. It has also been shown to cause tooth decay.

AmaZZZZZing. As a busy mother or grandmother, it often seems like the last thing you have time for is sleep. Even when you do crawl under the covers, your mind is still trying to figure out how to complete the long to-do list. Don’t scrimp on your snoozes, however, if you want to maintain a healthier body. Health experts say that getting enough sleep can help your body repair and rebuild tissue in your muscles. It also gives your body extra energy for the next day, so you won’t have to get your boosts from caffeine or sugar – two of the worst culprits for aging your skin.

Stand up for your right to look young. By “stand up” we literally mean standing up straight. Your posture says a lot about you. If your shoulders slump down, you give the impression of being tired, and tired people are generally perceived as being older. One simple tip to look younger: Keep your head up and your shoulders back.

Say “cheese.” Who knew that there are so many benefits to smiling? It reduces stress, boosts your immune system, lowers your blood pressure and releases natural endorphins. If that’s not enough, the muscles that are used to smile actually lift the face, making you look younger.
